Whether you are visiting on business, visiting family in Allied Gardens, visiting a loved one at the hospital, or here to explore San Diego, we hope you find our space to be your home away from home.
We live in the main, attached part of the property and are excited for you to use our space as your home base in San Diego!
The space
Vaulted ceilings in the inside and windowed doors looking out into the backyard make our space seem even more spacious.
In this space just minutes from civilization, you might hear birds chirping in the morning, and kids playing in the afternoon. At night, open the doors to your small private deck to enjoy the fresh air.
In the suite, you will find all that you need.. a queen size bed, desk, small kitchenette (microwave/small refrigerator), private bath with double sinks, closet space, and plenty of room to relax. (Please note there is no television, but WiFi is available for your use).
Guest access
A private entrance through the back yard takes you into your private space. Though there is no entrance into the main house, feel free to come out into the backyard to socialize with family and friends.
This suite is a new renovation of our home's original master bedroom. You will have your own space and your own entrance. However, please note that there are adjoining walls to our family home. There are two walls of the suite that join to the main house (the suite was at one point the master bedroom). However, there is no longer an entrance from the suite to the main house, or vice-versa. In other words, you can hear some noise from the main house and vice versa, but there is no physical connection between the two.
The neighborhood
Our family-friendly home is in a quiet and safe neighborhood, where you can expect to see kids at play and neighbors walking their dogs.
Yet.. just minutes away, you can have everything civilization has to offer. Within an easy 1/4 mile walk, you will find Vons and Kaiser hospital. You can wake up in the morning and walk to Einstein Brothers Bagels or our local coffee shop, or take a walk to dinner at San Diego Brewing Company, the Purple Mint, or a wide range of other eateries (within a 1/2 mile). In this same area, you can find many things you might need, such as dry cleaners, nail salons, groceries, and more...
Other things to note
In respect to our family neighborhood, we ask that quiet hours are respected after 9 pm. This suite is connected to the main house, so we ask that guests please be respectful of our family home. The suite is best suited for an individual or a quiet couple. Our suite, without exception, is not the place for parties, pets, pot, or profanity.
